A lead-alloy spindle whorl dating from Roman period to Post-Medieval period (c. AD 1 - 1650). In plan it is sub-circular and bi-convex in profile. There is a sub-circular perforation which is 8.5mm diameter which is located off-centre. Neither of the faces are not visibly decorated. The surfaces of the spindle whorl are a light cream in colour. It measures 19.9mm in diameter, 8.5mm internal diameter, 10.5mm thick and weighs 15.66grams.

A complete lead alloy spindle whorl of Medieval date. The spindle whorl is sub-cylindrical in plan with a sub-circular central piercing. It is oval in section, rather than biconvex. On the surface are a number of radiating lines and it bears pellets on its upper surface. The whorl is light in colour with a light brown soil staining covering its surface. The whorl is heavily abraded and corroded. The spindle whorl measures: 26.8mm in diameter and is 12.4mm thick. It weighs 4.32 grams.
