A possible lead spindle whorl dating from the medieval period (AD1300-1500). The spindle whorl is plano-convex with a flat base and domed top and a central perforation. The central perforation has an internal diameter of 9.1mm. The domed face is decorated with a series of raised zig-zag lines, creating triangles, and dots. The reverse is flat and undecorated. The whorl has a pale grey patina with some damage on the edge. Measurements: Diameter: 22.8mm; thickness: 7.0mm; weight; 12.82g

Complete lead alloy spindle whorl dating from the medieval period (AD1100-1500). The whorl is bi-conical with a relief moulded decoration in the form of zig-zag lines on the main body of the whorl.  There are four integral lugs evenly spaced around the outer edge of the whorl.
