Incomplete medieval to post-medieval ceramic spindle whorl, globular with flattened poles, parts of one pole missing, oxidised, micaceous, probably Late Medieval and Transitional ware (Jennings 1981, 61-2). Cf. SF-923F40, a smaller example. Diameter 38.5mm. Thickness/height 25.5mm. Hole diameter 10 - 11.5mm. Weight 40g. Mid 15th - 16th century.
