A fragment of a copper alloy object, possibly a Medieval spindle whorl. The object is sub rectangular in plan and bioconical, measuring 14.35mm in length and 18.19mm in width. It appears to have been part of a larger object that was circular with a central perforation. The decoration could have possibly been a series of vertically incised lines, although the object is worn and so this is difficult to say for certain. The metal is dark brown with mottled green areas.
