A near complete cast copper alloy late Iron Age or early Roman strap fitting. The fitting is comprised of a central hollowed circular dome with three open circular rings projecting to the sides at the base. The dome has four small rounded knops projecting from the sides arranged in a square; the top of the dome is damaged and it is therefore not clear if a further knop or other decorative motif was located at this point. A cast copper alloy probable strap-slide or possible mount of the late Iron Age to early Roman period. The fitting is 'eye-shaped', with a design of concentric circles of decoration within an outer pointed oval. One tip of the outer pointed oval is missing but the other is slightly rounded on top. Near complete but bent and distorted cast copper alloy strap fitting of later Early Medieval date. The strap fitting is sub-rectangular in shape with the top edge being bi-lobed; it is of openwork zoomorphic design depicting a creature with one head and two bodies and is broadly symmetrical in design. The bodies, which form the upper and outer edges of the frame, are formed like perched birds sat in profile facing one another with wings flat to the body forming the outer arch of the frame of the fitting. A complete cast copper-alloy Romano-British strap slider. The pointed oval slider has a bull-eye motif in its centre. The central circle still retains blue enamel. The reverse of the slider has an integral square sectioned rectangular loop measuring 33.0mm by 7.2mm high. The length of the slider is 35.8mm, the width is 30.6mm and the weight is 30.6mm.
