A cast copper alloy Early Medieval stirrup terminal dating to circa AD 950-1100. The terminal is hollowed with a convex front face and concave reverse. It is rendered in the form of a styled animal foot consisting of a flat D-shaped base with evenly spaced trilobite projecting knops emerging from the front of the flat base. A complete late early-medieval copper alloy stirrup terminal with a front trefoil finial. The front and sides are decorated at the top with two transverse grooves, the space between which curves outwards. The plate projects straight downwards to the centre of the plate and has no visible decoration. Here, the edges of the plate form a C-shaped curve on either side towards the trefoil, creating a projecting knob in the centre of the plate. The object is cross-shaped with four equal arms emanating from a domed central circular boss. The arms have D-shaped cross-sections. An incomplete copper alloy probable Late Early Medieval Anglo-Scandinavian stirrup terminal of 11th Century dating. Around 25% of the terminal is present, consisting of the flaring nostil base and transverse stop ridge at the reverse. The back is concave. It measures 25.1 mm in length, 18.8 mm wide and 18.7 mm thick. It weighs 22.7 g. The stirrup terminal is dark grren in colour, with an even surface patina. An incomplete copper alloy Late Early Medieval Anglo-Scandinavian zoomorphic stirrup terminal of 11th Century dating. The face is decorated with a moulded zoomorphic beast's head, this has expanded flaring nostrils at the base above which a high transvers ridge forms a brow that mounts two lentoid shaped bulging eyes. Finally above the brow ridge are two small semi-circular protrusions forming the ears. Just below the top there is a prominent ridge which does not extend to the rear.
