A silver penny probably of Edward IV, (1461-1470), of the York ecclesiastical mint. The bust style suggests Edward III as there is no hollow neck but objects either side of the bust appear to be a T and a key which would indicate Edward IV. The coin is too worn for accurate ID and can be dated AD 1351-77 or AD 1471-83.

A lead alloy spindle whorl of medieval to post-medieval date. The object is circular in plan and bi-conical with a central circular perforation. The perforation has an internal diameter of 8mm. Each face is decorated with moulded hearts and flowers. The object has a mid-cream patina and is in fair condition with one edge damaged. Cast lead ampulla dating to the Medieval period, (1100-1500). The bowl is semi-circular and the neck which has been damaged and is incomplete is rectangular in cross-section. The neck of the object has been folded back on each side to open the ampulla. The handles which would have connected the neck of the object to the body have broken away with just a small scar remaining on one side. Cast copper alloy mount in the form of a fleur-de-lis dating to the Medieval period, (1100-1500). Each side petal curves downwards and is complete. The central petal is bevelled. The base of the object is oval with a raised central rectangular panel. In the centre of the panel is a horizontal groove. To each side of the panel is a drilled circular hole. There is a small oval projection at the centre of the base. To the rear of the object is a central lug with iron corrosion. The outer face has been filed and has a dark green patina.

A small, two part, cast copper-alloy annular buckle with evidence of former gilding st point around the hinge. The frame is circular, with no visible decoration, and bevelled inwards at a roughly 45 degree angle when viewed from underneath. The pin is still present and has a roughly rectangular collar at its base. It may be missing the last 5-10% of its original length. According to Witehead (2003) this type of buckle was used in the Medieval period and a date is offered of between AD 1200-1400. Length of pin:- 12mm including loop.
