Copper alloy object, probably a strap end. The object is shaped like a circle, with a slightly flattened base and an extending edge opposite to this. The object is uniface, with the plain back holding a slight bump or projection at the 'base'. The decorated face is split by two lines raised in slight relief which, meeting, form a triangle. This is filled with four hollow, slightly raised circles. Three of the same circles fill the outside of the triangle on either side, and a further two go into the projecting edge. A small cast copper-alloy Roman T-shaped (Possibly Polden Hill) brooch, incomplete, only the head and the upper portion of the bow surviving. None of the spring remains. Hattatt (1982) suggests a date range of the second hanf of the first century AD (50-100). The surviving portion has no elaborate decoration, beyond a single raised spine down the centre of the outer bow.

A thirty pence coin issued in May AD 1690 by James II to finance his abortive campaigns against William III; this type of coin is widely known as 'gun money' because of its base metal (copper alloy) composition. Obverse:- Portrait of James II facing left, beaded border at rim. Legend around 'IACOBVS II DEI GRATIA'. Reverse:- A crown and crossed sceptres, the denomination 'XXX' and date '1690' above. Ornate J and R to either side, month 'May' below. Legend around '[MAG] BR FRA ET HIB REX'.

A small, two part, cast copper-alloy annular buckle with evidence of former gilding st point around the hinge. The frame is circular, with no visible decoration, and bevelled inwards at a roughly 45 degree angle when viewed from underneath. The pin is still present and has a roughly rectangular collar at its base. It may be missing the last 5-10% of its original length. According to Witehead (2003) this type of buckle was used in the Medieval period and a date is offered of between AD 1200-1400. Length of pin:- 12mm including loop.

An incomplete silver seal matrix with lion rampant (right) motif, of Post medieval dating (AD 1500 to AD 1700). Around 50% of the matrix is present, with an incomplete handle. The die face is oval and it has a hexagonally facetted conical handle. The handle is a double-collared probable trefoil terminal. The motif is a lion rampant within incised line and beaded border. The seal matrix has a height of 11.3 mm. The die face measures 17.2 mm by 15.6 mm. It weighs 3.8 g. A copper-alloy wheel from a post-medieval pastry jigger (AD 1700-1800).The object is circular in plan and has rectangular sectioned spokes, either side of which is a semi-circular perforation. The circumference of the wheel is decorated with deep incisions located on either face to form a zig-zag cutting edge, with three crimps then a flat section, repeated around the cutting edge. A silver penny probably of Edward IV, (1461-1470), of the York ecclesiastical mint. The bust style suggests Edward III as there is no hollow neck but objects either side of the bust appear to be a T and a key which would indicate Edward IV. The coin is too worn for accurate ID and can be dated AD 1351-77 or AD 1471-83.

A Roman gold finger ring with an oval gem setting. The gem is of a blue glass, possibly nicolo glass, with chamfered sides and a flat, light-blue upper surface. The gem is plain and not engraved. The gold band of the ring is wide but thin at the shoulders, and thickens and narrows at the back of the hoop. The back of the hoop has suffered damage and is distorted with deep scratches. The shoulders are decorated with two engraved swirls on either side.
