The pedestal has six almost imperctible facets and each of these faces thin as they rise to a neck which first narrows and then widens slightly at its top. A circular, lead probable pedestal seal matrix probably of Post-Medieval date, AD 1500 - 1700. The face has a six petalled flower in the centre in counter relief with the suggestion of an inscription around it, but this is illegible. The reverse is convex with a series of etched lines from the outside to the centre stub of the matrix. The handle is incomplete. It has a dark grey patina and is 17.7mm in diameter and 10.7mm high. It weighs 7.6g.
