Broken, Post-Medieval sheet copper alloy tong-like object, possibly a set of pastry crimpers. A 14.2mm wide strip folded back on itself into two arms with a large open loop at the fold. Estimated original length 68mm. One arm is heavily distorted, the other is broken and was found a short distance from the main piece. The edges of both arms are shaped with a series of laterally symmetrical convex and concave cut-outs and the terminal ends are serrated forming seven sharp teeth. The end 13mm of each arm is engraved on its inner face only featuring a cross-hatch lozenge pattern with pun…

Incomplete copper alloy Post Medieval pastry jigger housing or possibly spur rowel box. Two parallel triangular-shaped arms converge in a linear taper to join the narrower sides of a solid rectangular end knop. The integral end knop is formed from three rectangular collars each one slightly smaller than the other. The endmost collar is wider than the preceding two and is has a granular surface at its end, suggesting an old break from the heel of the parent object. The square terminal end of each triangular arm has a central coincident circular axle hole, around which the missing disc …

Copper-alloy unidentified object, of unknown date. It has one broken or possibly cut end, which is a flat hexagon or oval in cross-section. The other end is bifurcated, with each arm D-shaped in cross-section and tapering. The end of each arm is slightly expanded into an oval, rounded on the outside and flat on the inner face. Both ovals are pierced, and the holes are now blocked with hard soil, probably with some iron corrosion. The arms are not precisely symmetrical and at least one might have been bent outwards a little. Each arm is c. 16mm long and the total surviving length is 25…
