Broad period: POST MEDIEVAL

Uncertain object, possibly a terminal from a modern, 18th-19th century pastry jigger. The remains of the object consist of the top-end with some sort of punching or decorating tool, which is solid cast, followed by a hollow conical 'handle' or body. The tool at the top-end has six pointed sub-triangular shaped knops, which are generally sharper than the usual crimped tool. The terminal from a modern, 18th to 19th century pastry jigger. The remains of the object consists of the top-end with decorative crimping edge and a small portion of the shaft; it is missing its cutting rolling tool and the majority of its handle. The object is 'T' shaped and terminates in a 'crimped' zig zag, presumably to be used in decorating the pastry. Beneath the terminal there is a double collared knop and then a circular shaft; the old break in the object occurs directly below this knop. These objects are often confused with Roman tile combs. The object measures 28.7 mm
