An early Post-Medieval (c. 1400 - c. 1700) copper alloy book-clasp: The body of the book clasp is a long, slender rectangle. At one termina there is an off-set rectangular protrusion, whose edge is curled downwards forming the clasp element. The opposite terminal has a rivet hole with a fragment of a rivet remaining. The clasp is decorated with a row of three low-relief annulet and pellet motifs. The surface of the clasp has a mottled matte red-brown surface with traces of a dark green patina.
