A complete copper alloy finger ring dating from the 2nd to 5th century (c.AD150-450)
The ring comprises a D-section hoop and flat, oval bezel with pronounced (2mm) knobbed shoulders. The hoop is 1.1mm thick and 22.45mm diameter; the oval bezel is 14.55 x 16.5mm x 1.1mm thick. The ring appears to have been cast as a single piece and finished with a file. The surface is rough and shiny brass-coloured except in small patches where a darker material is visible. A complete Post-Medieval gold inscribed 'posy' finger ring probably dating to the 18th Century.
The plain hoop is bent and twisted and and the band has a plano-convex cross-section. It is plain and undecorated on the external surface. The inside surface is flat with an engraved inscription reading 'A token of my love', in lower case lettering with serifs but with a capital A. The left hand upright of the A is double barred.
Measurements: length: 23.24mm; width of band: 3.44mm; thickness of band: 0.91mm and weight: 2.39g.

A complete gold posy/posey/posie ring with a plano convex sectioned hoop, 2.4mm wide and 0.7mm thick and of 15.6mm internal diameter. The outside curved edge is undecorated, the flat inside is engraved "Thy vertue is thy honnor". There is a worn mark of a single lowercase closed loop letter g in a rectangular or scutiform escutcheon (second image). The style of the lettering is generally consistent with rings from the 17th and 18th century.

A complete gold posy ring of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1650 - 1750. The ring is circular in plan with a D-shaped section. The band is thin. The outer surface is undecorated. The interior surface of the ring is inscribed with lower case cursive text reading ‘Love is the bond of peace’. The inscription is heavily worn and a deep gouge obscures most of the word ‘bond’. There is no visible makers’ mark.

A complete gold posy/posey/posie ring with a D-shape cross-section hoop, 3.6mm wide and 1.1mm thick and of 19mm internal diameter. The outside curved edge is undecorated, the flat inside is engraved with "Derect our wayes Lord all our days". There is a worn date late of a gothic lower case e in an unclear escutcheon and possibly another unclear mark (2nd picture). The style of the lettering is generally consistent with rings from the 17th and 18th century.

The circular hoop is D-shaped in cross-section and undecorated on the external surface of the band. The interior of the band is inscribed ' God unite our harts arights'. The text is set between a pair of incised parallel guide-lines. The lettering is separate with serifs and long loops on the 'd' and 'h' and flowing loops on the 'g'. A complete gold finger ring with Gothic black letter inscription of Medieval date c. AD1300 -1500.
The ring is circular with a concave outer surface and flat internal surface. The external surface is decorated with incised decoration of scrolling with three oval panels divided by opposing crescents. Each panel contains a single word reading: "a mon amye" which translates "to/for my beloved". There are traces of white enamel in one recess of the panel containing "a". The internal surface is plain and undecorated.

A complete gold finger ring dating to the Medieval period (c.AD 1350-1500).
The ring is in the form of a posy ring and is roughly circular in shape. The center of the band slightly waisted and externally bears a design and inscription inscribed in blackletter script. The inscription reads ‘en bon an’ which is French for ‘a good year’. The inscription is divided by sprigs of foliage headed by four petalled flower. The edges of the ring have a beaded border. The band interior is plain.

A Medieval gold and gem seal matrix finger ring dating from AD 1200 - 1300, with a reused Roman intaglio set in the bezel, dating from 100 BC - AD 75.
The ring has a large oval bezel, with the intaglio set in the centre, apparently flush with the surface. It is surrounded by a flat field of gold forming a border on which is engraved an inscription in lombardic lettering: "+ PENSE . DE MOY P:". A late medieval to early post medieval silver "fede" ring.
The band is flattened in cross section, becoming D-shaped at the moulded bezel, which is formed in the shape of two clasped hands. The fingers are outlined with deep grooves, and the two thumbs clasp so that the rear hand's thumb is visible while the thumb of the front hand with outlined fingers is not. Complete, gold, post-medieval posy finger ring with chased inscription on inner band dating to the 16th century.
The annular band is D shaped in section. The outer face is smooth and undecorated. The interior face is inscribed with a motto in English and reads + I - MEANE - RYGHT -. The script is stylistically similar to inscriptions known from the 16th century. In general Roman capitals began to be used for inscriptions on posy rings from the mid-16th century, italics becoming more popular by the mid-17th century (Oman 1974, p. 40 - 41). A gold finger ring with internal posy (also poesy or posie) inscription. The ring is in good condition with no distortion. The cross-section is D-shaped and the exterior of the ring is plain. The posy reads, in a serifed script, ‘Godly love will not remove’ followed by two dashes placed one above the other and a stamped upper-case B which is interpreted as a maker’s mark. The ring dates from the Post-Medieval period, c. AD1600-1900.

Description: The hoop is circular in plan, D-shaped. The inscription, which runs around the internal circumferences, is in lower case and reads '__In begin so let us end' it is followed by the makers mark 'WG'. The beginning of the inscription may be missing but it isn't certain. The band shows some abrasion with small nicks around the loop.

Description:
A complete post medieval, silver 'fede' finger ring. The bezel depicts two hands clasped together, the details of the fingers are picked out with shallow incised lines. Flanking the hands on both sides are rectangular shaped cuffs. The cuffs are decorated with incised traverse lines, one at the top and two lines at the bottom. The band details four incised lines positioned to create a diamond shape pointing down the band, followed by two stipples on each side of the band.
