An incomplete, copper alloy artefact, probably a hair pin of Roman date, about AD 43 - 410. The object is broken at both ends. It is circular in cross section. At one end are two moulded sub-spherical beads separated by a broad U shaped groove. Each bead is decorated with a narrower groove at each end, the narrow collar possibly being beaded.
