An incomplete copper alloy object of uncertain function and dating, possibly Roman to Post Medieval (AD 43 to AD 1800). The object is irregularly shaped, with a bulbous end and a narrow end. Patinated post-depositional damage has affected most surfaces. It measures 20.7 mm in length, 7.3 mm maximum width, and 2.2 mm thick. It weighs 1.5 g. The object is a mid green colour, with an even surface patina. Abrasion, caused by movement while within the plough soil, has resulted in the loss of the majority of the original surface. An incomplete lead or lead alloy pilgrims ampulla, of medieval dating (AD 1300 to AD 1500). It is sub rectangular in shape, with an incomplete horizontal linear upper edge and a narrowed neck, and circular body. Decoration is faintly present on both sides. The obverse is undistinct but has a cross hatched background, and the reverse depicts a large leaf design inside cross hatching. A casting ridge is present around the sides of the ampulla.
