A copper alloy penannular ring or ring core of probable Bronze Age date (c. 1300-800BC). The ring is made from a circular sectioned loop with a moulded in feature around the outside circumferemce. It is wider in the middle than at the terminals. The material is quite degraded and only half of the ring survives, still, it is apparant that the terminal (the smaller diameter end) was flat. A complete and worn silver finger ring of Post Medieval to modern date, circa AD 1723-2000. The ring, circular in cross-section, comprises of a circular hoop which expands smoothly to form an oval-shaped bezel. A Medieval to Post Medieval miss-cast lead spindle whorl dating from about AD 1450 - 1550. It is of Walton Rogers form C2. It is biconical with a design of raised pellets on one face. The whorl is miss-cast with much of one face missing. The other face has faint crossed raised lines on it, and a large lump of lead projecting from the face. The whole has a dark green patina. A similar button is NLM-FD9223, dated 1600-1700. Read (2005, 73) notes a button of very similar shape and dimensions and suggests that it is part of a bic-convex hollow button, this is dated to the same period. It comprises most of the bowl of the pipe, with a small section of the rim missing.There is a spur, but the stem is missing.
