A fragment of a hammered silver denarius of Marcus Aurlius, dating AD 172-174. There is also a small fragment. The obverse of the coin is heavily worn and not visible. Reverse inscription: RELIG AVG The reverse of the coin depicts Mercury standing, wearing a petasus and a short cloak. The right hand is extended, and the head if towards the left. The other side of figure is not visible.. An extremely worn copper alloy Roman sestertius coin from the reign of Marcus Aurelius (AD 161-180). It seems to have a CONG AVG III TR POT XX IMP III COS III SC reverse type, depicting Marcus Aurelius and Lucius Verus seated left on a platform, before them an official distributing dole to a man who stands in front of the steps of the platform. Unclear reverse type possibly depicting a standing figure? Probably mint of Rome.
