A near complete lead alloy pilgrim's ampulla dating to the Medieval period, c. AD 1300 - 1500. The lead flask and neck remains. One arm is present and the other is missing.  The ampulla is flasked shaped and has a semi-circular body with cresecent corners and a rectangular shaped neck that extends outwards from the centre of one side. The mouth of the neck is partially open and missing some of its edge. An incomplete lead or lead alloy convex spindle whorl, of Roman to Post Medieval dating (AD 43 - AD 1650). The spindle whorl is sub circular in shape, and domed in cross section. The central hole is sub circular in shape and has been cast slightly off central. The internal diameter of the hole measures 7.7 mm wide. Both upper and lower faces bear no trace of decoration. The first part is a strap junction, with a circular loop at one end, leading into a circular sectioned shaft, with central swelling, and then into an incomplete larger loop. An incomplete copper alloy nut cracker, of Late Post Medieval to Early Modern dating (17th to 18th Centuries AD). Less than 50% of the nutcrackers are present, with most of one arm present. The hinge is missing from the top of the arm. The outer face is decorated by three sets of paired horizontal ribs, and its cross section is semi circular. At the top is a broken attachment point. The narrowed top is undecorated but the lower skirt bears foliate style decoration, with the inscription IHS appearing once. A sub rectangular, sandstone rock with ogham script inscribed down three of the four sides. The front and back sides are smooth. The rock is a dark grey colour and likely to be a shist type rock (metamorphic mudstone/shale). The incisions appear to have been done in a single action, not repeated. It measures 110 mm in length, 38 mm wide and 19 mm thick. It weighs 139 g. Katherine Forsyth (University of Glasgow) has confirmed that the markings are those of an ogham inscription.
