Neolithic flint arrowhead or thumbnail scraper. The light and mid-greyish-blue patina is in contrast to the unpatinated sub-parallel, semi-abrupt retouch along the left edge and across the mid section where it is broken. Based on patination, ridges, scars and form the blade itself is likely to have originally been Late Upper Palaeolithic or Mesolithic. However, due to the positioning of the later break and the retouched areas, it is possible this piece is an example of a quick arrowhead. The right edge has also been fine and abruptly flaked, but as the flint is so thin here it is h…

Axehead roughout made on a piece of an irregularly shaped, natural flint nodule. This is curving and bears large areas of coarse flaking to produce a trapezoid section. Areas of thick cortex survive with a button-like projection at one point. An attempt to form an axe from this nodule appears to have been abandoned. The flint is opaque with a mottled grey colour.
