Iron ring. Oval ring, probably of wrought iron, slightly narrowed at either end and of probably rounded section – zones of an angular profile have probably suffered loss by flaking of corrosion from the original metal surface. The mass suggests good survival of a metal core. The object has a slightly curved profile. A function as a buckle or strap fitting from horse harness seems possible.
