Modern cast tin alloy buckle, c.19th century. This possible buckle is decorated to look like a samurai in traditional Japanese style. Japanese-inspired clothing and accessories came into fashion during the 19th century when Japan opened trade to the rest of the world, and the manufacturing appears to fit this timeframe. The reverse of the buckle is plain and has no makers marks.
