The sides of the frame are rounded and convex on the outer edge. The portion of the frame opposite the strap bar is thickened in depth and width with a projection at each terminal. The buckle surface has a mid brown-green abraded surface. The buckle measures 13.67mm in length, 19.95mm wide and weighs 0.77g. Egan and Pritchard (2002) date a similar shaped buckle, No. 350, to the late 13th to 14th century. The frame, on the outer edge at the apex, has a small triangular integral protrusion with a notch for the pin. The frame is sub-triangular in section. Integral to the strap bar is a forked spacer. An incomplete post-Medieval copper-alloy chape from a composite buckle (c. 1690-c. 1720). This object is generally sub-triangular in plan and the stud is missing. One face has moulded decoration and the other face is flat and plain. The breaks are old. The object is green with flecks of a darker green patina. Incomplete decorated shoe buckle made from pinchbeck. The buckle is sub rectangular in shape, and is curved in order to fit a shoe. The central pin of the buckle is missing. The reverse of the buckle is smooth with no decoration. The buckle is highly decorated with lozenge shapes, curves and groups of 4 pellets. Overall the buckle is in good condition. Date is thought to be 18th or 19th century. The buckle weighs 14.3g and is 50mm in length by 39mm in width.

Copper alloy buckle. Cast buckle formed by a thick plate in the form of a seriffed letter H or I, with a light rectangular strap loop of drawn wire brazed to one end, and a ball-headed pin to the other. A leather strap would be wrapped around the bar and riveted in place through the doubled thickness. Its other end would be pierced with holes through which the ball-headed pin passed to fasten the belt. This piece was probably individually made. Cast rectangular single looped buckle with an expanded and internally bevelled outer edge with a central groove as a pin rest, and with a narrowed strap bar retaining a straight-sided sheet metal plate of thickness 0.3mm. A fragment of a post-medieval copper-alloy spur comprising the terminal end of one of the spur's arms, together with two attachment hooks. The arm has a convex, triangular cross-section which terminates with two loops in a figure 8 arrangement. Attached to each loop is an attachment hook; these have pointed lozengiform lobes, with a collar of rounded knops at the hooks, which curl around and through the spur arm loops. At the centre of each hook plate is a teardrop-shaped stud fitting which retained the strap. Circa late 17th to early 18th century.

A cast copper-alloy medieval Limoges enamelled and gilded buckle plate, dating to the period AD 1150-1300. The front of the plate is decorated with a moulded griffin or wyvern facing left within a field of blue enamel. The beast has finely moulded details and may have been gilded; traces of red enamel around the edges of the beast are also visible.
