A cast copper alloy coin weight dating to the late Medieval period, circa 1464-1470. The weight is circular in plan and rectangular in section with rounded corners. One side of the weight shows a king standing on a ship with a sword and shield. There may originally have been a rose depicted in the bow of the ship but the weight is too worn to be certain. This type of weight is usually uni-face, however it is uncertain whether the patina on the reverse has worn in an unusual pattern or if this side of the coin was decorated.
