The find is a stack of five coins, fused together as a result of corrosion in the ground. There is no evidence to suggest the application of heat as a factor in the fusion. The coins are neatly aligned, perhaps suggesting that they originally formed part of a rouleau for transportation or storage, as is known from some other examples. As a result of the stacking, only the two outer faces are visible and can be identified, but the similarity in size suggests that the remaining three coins are of the same or similar types.
