An incomplete, worn, silver Venetian Soldino coin of Medieval date (c. AD 1466-1474). It is a Type 2 Soldino, depicting the Doge kneeling left whilst holding a banner. The coin has had triangular clippings taken from it around 3 o'clock and 5 o'clock, and it seems as if much of the rim from 3 o'clock to 5 o'clock is missing. The coin is bent slightly along the bottom so that the obverse is convex.
Obverse description: Doge kneeling left holding banner.
Obverse inscription: NI. T[RONVS.] DVX.
Reverse description: Winged and nimbate lion of St Mark facing within a quad…
