Elongated sub-rectangular shape which tapers towards the base when stood vertical. The section of the leg is slightly trapezoidal. The upper end face of the leg is square and is slightly wider than the rest of the leg. The edges of this upper end face are broken. The patina over these edges suggests that the item was broken in antiquity. The face itself is very smooth and is angled c. 45º to the leg. The outer vertical face of the leg is slightly curved towards the base. The foot, which is a horizontal edge is slightly worn.

A cast copper alloy cauldron/ skillet foot (length: 42.5mm; width: 41.5mm; thickness [at base of foot]: 28mm; weight: 116.33g). A simple form with flange/ ridge down the centre at the front of the foot. There are remains of heavy iron corrosion at the top of the foot where it becomes more narrow. This may indicate a possible fixing screw of attachment to fix the leg onto the main body of the cauldron? Overall, the artefact is in a poor condition due to the corrosion and wear. The leg has a light green patina. A similar example is illustrated by Margeson in 'Norwich Households: Me…

A cast copper alloy cooking vessel fragment (length: 73.5mm; width: 31mm; thickness: 3.5mm; weight: 38.98g). At one end of the fragment, the vessel seems to curve outwards, possibly towards a rim? The artefact is in a fair condition with general corrosion on both sides. On the probable inner side of the vessel, the surface has a dark green patina, while the outer surface has a dark green-back patina. It is impossible to date this fragment specifically, but it is most likely to date to the Medieval or post-Medieval period.
