A complete early medieval silver sceat, related to the Saltire-standard group but more devolved (Spink 833a closest) Obverse: series R3-related bust type with apparently retrograde runic inscription right, which reads ᚨᛈᚨᛖ, translating as APAE, which maybe a garbled AEPA inscription. Reverse: Cross with annulets at each cross terminal and annulets in each quarter. Secondary phase, c.710-40.
