An incomplete copper alloy strap end dating from the Early Medieval period, in the 9th century AD. Although in one piece, the strap end has two distinct parts: the strap attachment plate, and a long tapering shaft. The split-end strap attachment plate is trapezoidal in plan (being 15mm long and its width tapering from 10mm at the split end to 7mm where it joins to the shaft), and wedge-shaped in profile. A domed rivet of head diameter 2.6mm passes through the broad end. There are traces of gilding around the rivet. A fragment of cast copper-alloy openwork strap-end, probably dating to the late Early-Medieval period c. AD 900-1100.  Due to the fragmentary nature it has not been possible to confidently identify the type.  The fragment consists of a portion of the main body of the strap-end, is sub-rectangular in shape with three open-work circles and decorated with incised lines that swirl around the open-work features.

A complete Early Medieval cast copper-alloy pin dating c. AD 800-900. The head is biconical in shape with a slightly flattened top. Below the head is a collar before a short circular-sectioned shaft that gradually tapers to a point. The head and shaft are very worn and abraded with several areas of lamination. The patina is dark brown in colour. The pin measures 21.1mm in length. The head is 7.1mm diameter. The shaft is a maximum of 2.2mm at the collar. The pin weighs 1.34 grams. The opposing terminal is partially retained with both the upper and lower plates of this split end missing due to a transverse break.
