An incomplete Early-Medieval (Anglo-Scandinavian) cast white-metal 'Norse' clapper bell (c. 900-c. 1000).
This bell is broadly conical in form with a relatively large rectangular suspension loop at the top. The body of the bell has seven facets of uneven size. Inside, at the apex, an iron loop is presumably for the suspension of a clapper.
The outer surface is dull and silvery and the inner surface is largely covered with off-white corrosion products. The iron loop is corroded and in poor condition. A portion of the lower part of the body is missing due to breaks.
