An incomplete cast copper-alloy Roman (British) plate brooch dating to the late 1st-mid-3rd century century AD (c. AD 80-250).
It has an oval flat disc decorated on one side. The decoration consists of a thick band of corroded dark blue enamel with five surviving sub-oval empty recesses, surrounding a circular recess and a sub-oval centre. Part of the plate is missing. The reverse has traces of the lug and catchplate. The pin is missing.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy Roman (British) plate brooch dating to the late 1st-mid-3rd century century AD (c. AD 80-250).
The brooch is almost complete, with part of the pin missing. It is a circular flat disc decorated on one side with a multi-angled polygon, however, the corrosion and dirt conceals the decoration. Traces of red enamel are visible. The design is surrounded by a border. The reverse has the sprung spring mechanism.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy Roman Colchester derivative hinged brooch dating to c. AD 43-120.
The brooch has tubular wings enclosing an axis bar, with a slot in the centre for the pin. Only remnants of the pin has survived inside the slot. The bow springs out from the wings, it is D-shaped in cross-section, tapering to a broken point. The brooch is very corroded and worn, no traces of decoration are visible. The pin and catchplate are missing.

A copper alloy arm from a Victorian or Edwarian "skirt lifter" comprising a curved rod, of circular cross section, which terminates in a 5.73 mm wide bowl at one end and a asymmetrically flattened terminal at the other, which is broken across the site of a rounded hole of diameter 2.92 mm. There is a deep nick on the underside near the bowl end. The arm is bent.

The C-shaped wings are completely moulded with bead and reel decoration; each of the beads is moulded with oblique grooves and a wavy line on both sides of the bow. An incomplete cast copper alloy Roman Colchester derivative, rearhook brooch, dating from AD 40-70.
The humped bow tapers to a narrow point and is simply decorated with a raised narrow, longitudinal band with a central groove, lightly incised, beginning on the head and running down the centre to the point. The wings are semi-circular, concave on the underside to accept a spring and pin mechanism which is now missing. A complete cast copper-alloy dodecahedron dating to the Roman period (c. AD 43-410). Type 1b.
This object was discovered during a controlled archaeological investigation by a local History and Archaeology Group and Allen Archaeology and was recovered from a pit described by the excavators as a quarry infilled with debris as a midden. Other finds include a box-flue tile fragment, grey-ware pottery, roof tile debris and animal teeth.
