Lead Fishing Weight. Cast plano-convex oval weight, perhaps made by pouring lead into a spoon or shallow vessel. A drawn wire loop in scarcely corroded condition is attached at one end, and its condition may suggest the object to be of recent date, c.1950 or later. Suggested date: Modern: 1900-2000. This object was kindly recorded by Shirley Wyllie. Length: 60mm, Width: 40mm, Thickness: 15mm, Weight: 141.24gms.
