The surface is entirely covered with stamped decoration comprising a cross-hatched grid alternating offset longitudinal lines of cells containing hexafoil florettes and fleur-de-lys around the circumference. Around the wider (rear) end is a collar of annulets alternating with hexafoil florettes.
