An incomplete silver brooch pin of Medieval date (AD 1200 - AD 1400). The pin is made of three separate elements soldered together, the shaft, the collar and the loop. The shaft of the pin is bent at an angle of about 45° from its original alignment. It is oval in section throughout its length except at the tip where it is undercut. The plain collar is made from a convex strip, the ends of which do not quite abut on the underside. The loop is oval, as viewed from the side.
