Copper alloy brooch. Cast Colchester derivative brooch with rear hook fastening, Mackreth type CD RH 1.f. Wings, each with a pair of strongly defined bulbous mouldings which are billeted by cross-cutting conceal a horizontal channel for an axis bar retaining a separate spring [both lost]. A small hook is set on the crest of the bow.
