A complete copper-alloy medieval buckle/strap fitting component. The main loop of the frame is T-shaped, comprising a wide, rectangular outer section with a narrower rectangular section projecting at a right-angle from the centre of its inner edge. The outer end of this latter, rear section culminates in a slightly wider, oval-shaped attachment loop with a narrow, raised, transverse collar accross the outer face of its inner end. A very worn copper-alloy doulbe looped buckle frame of late Medieval to Post-Medieval date. It has oval loops separated by narrow triangular bar, missing the pin due to old breaks. The entire object measures 16.89mm in width, 21.12mm in length, 3.15mm in thickness, and 2.81g in weight. This buckle is of probable c.15th-16th century AD date if not slightly earlier or later.

A very worn copper-alloy buckle frame of Medieval date. It is as Meols type 2 with D-shaped frame that has an expanded triangular outer edge, and offset and narrowed cylindrical bar. All of the original surfaces are missing due to post-depositional corrosion, and the pin is missing due to old breaks. This buckle measures 38.84mm in width, 18.01mm in length, 4.13mm in thickness, and 4.25g in weight. An incomplete copper-alloy double-looped oval buckle frame of Medieval date. It is missing the pin.
The frame is D-shaped in section with an expanded outer edge. Each outer edge is decorated with an opposing pair of diagonal grooves. The bar is central, narrowed and trapezoidal in section with triangular lobes at the junctions of the bar and frame.
This buckle measures 19.24mm in length, 10.69mm in width, 2.25mm in thickness, 1.10g in weight.
There is a similar example from London (Egan and Pritchard, 1991, p. 88, no. 380).

A worn cast copper-alloy buckle frame of probable later Early-Medieval date. It has a D-shaped frame with expanded outer edge and offset and narrowed cylindrical bar. At the centre of the outer edge is a small incised pin rest. The sides of the frame where frame and bar meet have moulded decoration comprising zoomorphic creatures gripping the bar, each with two projecting oval ears and flattened snout. The entire object measures 16.62mm in width, 14.58mm in length, 5.62mm in thickness and 3.53g in weight.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy buckle plate of Roman or later date. It comprises an incomplete central plate that is flat and rectangular in form, an incomplete projection visible at one end. This is decorated on its front face with an incised border that contains a double transverse zig-zag motif with triangles in each angle of the zig-zags. From one long edge of the plate extend the remains of a central rectangular arm and one side arm, both of which preserve traces of openwork decoration. An incomplete cast copper-alloy buckle frame of probable Medieval date. Only part of the outer edge survives, the remaidner of the frame now missing due to old breaks. It is D-shaped in section, rectangular in form, tapering to both ends where it has old breaks. At the centre of the surviving fragment is a moulded central pin rest comprising three prominent transverse ridges. The fragment measures 48.39mm in length, 11.75mm in width, 4.61mm in thickness and 9.27g in weight. This is a fragment from a buckle frame of probable Medieval date, c.1200-1500 AD, if not a little later.
