An almost complete copper alloy Roman trumpet brooch dating to c.AD 75-175. See Mackreth (2011) TR 1.2c1 Plate 81. The object is comprised of the head, bow and foot; the pin, and catchplate are missing. The head of the brooch has the typical oval shape of the trumpet brooch that splays quite widely at the end. Underneath, the head is dished with a circular lug with perforation protruding.
