Cast and tinned copper alloy single loop buckle plate, undecorated, trapezoidal with concave sides and rounded front ending in a single lobed knop emerging from a V-shaped groove. It has a narrowed and recessed strap bar. The pin is missing but there is a trace of the base of the iron pin adhering to the strap bar. The back of the buckle is chamfered and slightly concave, and the reverse of the terminal knop is concave. The buckle frame is formed from two D-shaped loops with rounded expanded outer edges, flanked by double pointed mouldings. The upper surface of these expanded edges has moulded rosette decoration. A very similar example on the database from Berkshire BERK-7CCA74 is described as Henig Type VIII (Henig, 1974), as is another from the Ashmolean ASHM-A41266. The finger ring has a moulded undecorated solid raised oval bezel that is 7 mm long, 6 mm wide and 2 mm in height.
