A very worn copper alloy Roman sestertius, 33.5mm diameter and 2.4mm thickness, weighing 16.6g. The coin has a 6mm long small crack from the rim heading towards the face of the bust, also seen on the reverse.The obverse has a bust facing right with no further detail, and no visible lettering. The obverse has a very worn standing figure, again with little detail and no visible lettering. The emperor may be Marcus Aurelius, and the reverse figure may be Salus. if so this would make the coin date between AD 161 to AD 180.
