An incomplete Medieval copper-alloy single-loop buckle (c. 1270-c. 1350). Meols type 12. The pin and roller are missing. Prior to distortion the frame would have been oval in plan with an off-set narrowed bar. The outer edge is expanded and recessed to accommodate a copper-alloy sheet roller on which the pin-tip would have rested. The bar is irregular in cross-section. An incomplete Medieval copper-alloy rotary key (c. 1350-c. 1400). The incomplete openwork bow is flat on both faces. There is no collar between the bow and shank. The oval shank is solid throughout its length. The shank is parallel in width and thickness. The simple bit is square and has no clefts. This key is dull green and has a dull green patina in places. Two joining fragments of a copper alloy fragment of a probable spearhead. Dating is difficult due to the fragmentary nature of the object but is likely to be late Middle Bronze age or Late Bronze Age (c. 1500-700BC). The object has a socket that is circular in section tapering towards the point, which is now missing. The blade is diamond-shaped in section and appears to have a rounded end. An incomplete spindle whorl, made from a very worn and fragmentary medieval lead papal bulla of Pope Clement V (1305 to 1314). The obverse bears the legend CLE / [MEN]S / [:PP] V within a beaded border. The reverse depicts the faces of St Peter and St Paul below the inscription SPASP[E] (SPA = Sanctus Paulus, SPE = Sanctus Petrus), all of which are surrounded by the remains of a beaded border. Incomplete small copper alloy hooked dress fastener. The round main body of the fastner has a pierced central hole, and one of two round pierced holes for attachment remains on the rear edge. The hook has corroded to leave a pointed projection remaining. The object is in poor, corroded condition, is 20mm long, 12mm wide, 0.5mm thick and weighs 0.56g.
