A Medieval copper alloy English jetton probably dating from about AD 1280 to 1350. The jetton has been bent roughly in half obscuring the reverse. The obverse comprises a central ring of pellets surrounded by a ring of alternating fleurs within an outer border of circular pellets. It is a 'rose and orb' type Nuremberg jetton, probably issued by Jorg Schultes. The jetton has a crease across the flan where it has been possibly folded and unfolded. It is worn and corroded, and the reverse is illegible due to a coverage of deposition material. Small irregular fragments of the flan's edges have broken off and are now missing. Diameter: 19.5 mm and weight: 0.84 g.
