An incomplete cast copper-alloy brooch (Colchester one-piece) of Iron Age to Roman date (AD 25-60). Description: The bow is broadly triangular in plan, curved in profile, and oval in cross-section which tapers to a pointed foot. The head has two short wings, now mostly stubs. The head has a broken forward hook, which would have held the missing external chord and a projecting stub from the back of the head which would have extended into a one-piece spring and pin.
