H, S, (1980) type Sutton b, closest in outline to examples i and j (page 122, fig. 45), of off-white patinated flint with the numerous small inclusions within the flint a mid-grey colour, one face has three small spots of rusty iron, probably from contact with agricultural machinery. Cast copper alloy axe-head with a crescentic cutting edge, a plain body with slightly concave upper and lower sides and a sub-rectangular socket measuring 32.7mm in height and 28.4mm in width [externally]. An incomplete Bronze Age flint barbed and tanged arrowhead, dating to 2500-1500 BC. The arrowhead is made from a tertiary flake of pale brown flint with a low gloss patina. One of the barbs is missing. Both faces have covering ,invasive pressure flaking. The majority of the arrowhead remains, it has one complete barb and the tang is intact. An incomplete copper-alloy Spearhead of middle Bronze Age date (1550-1250 BC). Side looped spearhead. The blade is leaf-shaped and tapering with a narrow mid-rib, there is no visible bevelling to the outer edges. The mid-rib is hollow to the tip. A barbed and tanged arrowhead, formed by knapping. It is made of a pale semi- transluscent flint with some inclusions. It is slightly flatter on one side then the other, and the tip of one of the barbs is missing. Having been found near a beach it has been worn so no sharp edge remains, but the shape is consistent. Arrowheads such as these, see also NMGW-24C12C, are classified as Sutton Type B (Green 1980) are commonly associated with the emergence of the Beaker phenomenon in Britain. An incomplete middle Bronze Age copper-alloy dirk, dating to c. 1700 - 1400 BC. Arreton or Acton Park phase. The dirk is almost complete, it is broken at each of the rivet holes. The hilt of the blade was originally trapezoidal in plan, some of the hilt is missing, it's mostly flat in cross section. It has a slightly convex butt. From the end of the hilt, it widens slightly before narrowing quickly in smooth concave arcs to the blade. A fragment of gold, likely hack gold from a penannular bracelet of Bronze Age date, possibly c.1100-850 BC. Description: The object is broadly 'axe-shaped' with a sub-circular terminal that tapers to a flat rectangular cross section. This was likely achieved by cutting and hammering. The tapered end has been cut, indicated by a bright rugged cut. An incomplete worked flint barbed and tanged arrowhead of Bronze Age date (c.1500-1100 BC). The object is triangular in plan with two notches in the base between the central tang and a barb to either side. One of these barbs is almost completely missing and the other is broken across the end.
