An incomplete copper alloy late Medieval (c. AD1300-1500) 'disc-on-pin' buckle of Redmayne Type A4, consisting of the 'disc-on-pin' only.
The pin comprises a flat sub-lozengiform plate, c. 1.7mm thick, from opposite ends of which project the points. One of the ends of the pin, which has a sharp point, points downwards to meet the frame. The upward-pointing point is less sharp (although this may constitute a break) and curves very slightly to the back.
