Incomplete Early Saxon sheet copper alloy spangle, sub-triangular with one suspension hole at the apex and a row of double concentric half-annular stamped impressions down both sides. There is some scuffing to the edges and the hole has broken through to the top. Cf. a pair from Freckenham, Suffolk (SF8703) and one from Beachamwell, Norfolk (HER 23536, NMS-8F62E2). Height 22mm. Width 16.5mm. Thickness 0.3mm. Mid 5th - 6th century. No. 24 on annotated map in file.

A Post Medieval cast copper alloy decorative mount, c.AD 1550-1800. This mount is pentagonal in plan with a heavily corroded and worn obverse face. There may have been a gilded rose design across the outer face, although this is difficult to make out. The reverse is undecorated and has a single integral spike. The surface of the mount has traces of an abraded red-brown copper corrosion with a dark green patina covered in soil. Middle Saxon to Late Saxon copper alloy strap fitting, a suspension loop secured by two rivets and engaged with a suspension ring of lozengiform cross-section. Both faces are decorated with a pair of transverse grooves at the top of the loop. Cf. Rogers, N. in Evans and Loveluck 2009, fig. 1.10 nos. 136-9; Hinton 1996, fig. 5 no. 39/42. Length / height of loop 26mm. Width 6.7mm. The gap between the arms, i.e. the thickness of the strap, is 2mm. External and internal diameter of ring 11.5 and 7mm. Overall length / height 32mm. 9th century.

A complete Medieval copper alloy harness pendant, c.AD 1200-1400. The object is lozenge shaped with an integrally cast suspension loop emerging from its apex, set at ninety degrees to the face of the pendant. The lower part of the plate is folded back towards the reverse face, possibly due to plough damage. The loop has a circular perforation within its centre. The front of plate is badly corroded and no decoration can be made out. The metal is green in colour with a slightly pitted patina. Length: 37.9 mm; Width: 29 mm; Thickness: 7 mm; Weight: 6.09 g

Incomplete copper alloy Roman brooch, probably a Continental plate brooch, c.AD 100-300. The brooch is a lozenge shaped plate with corroded rounded knops surviving at two of the four corners. One of these knops hides the catchplate, which is incomplete. The knop's obverse face is flat and is decorated with a raised edge, which may have contained enamel. A copper alloy Roman bow brooch fragment, Langton Down type, c.AD 40-70. It has a cylindrical spring cover, partly un-curled in the centre and exposing three to four coils of the spring within. Both ends of the spring case are incomplete and end in old breaks. The case is decorated on the front with double incised lines along the top; these are heavily worn. An incomplete Medieval cast copper alloy buckle, c.AD 1250-1350. This buckle is incomplete as it is missing its pin. The buckle is of oval form, slightly asymmetrical, with an offset and narrowed pin bar that has mouldings at both ends. The frame is rounded externally on its upper surface and broadly flat on the lower with some rounding at the edges. The outer edge is slightly expanded both in width and thickness. The buckle has a light-green/brown patina. Similar example, see HAMP-06D456.

A near-complete possible Bronze Age to Roman cast copper alloy miniature object, an axehead, c.1900 BC-AD 100. The object is axehead-shaped; sub-triangular with the corners of the widest end (possibly the axe cutting edge) reduced to a curve, with the opposite end terminating in an old break. The form is reminiscent of a miniature early Bronze Age flat axe. The corrosion and patination with the dark green colour suggests an early date. A complete enamelled copper alloy heraldic horse harness pendant of Medieval date (1200-1400 AD). The shape of the pendant is a heater shield with a suspenion loop at right angles in the centre of the top edge. The front face is decorated with three roundels in the chief, followed by two bars (one in the centre and one in the bottom third). This decoration is formed by red enamel in shaped recesses.
