A complete Medieval cast silver-gilt finger ring, of stirrup style, and dating to c.AD.1150-1500. Description: The object is stirrup shaped, with a sub-circular hoop rising to a triangular bezel. In cross-section the hoop is D-shaped and is uninscribed. The bezel has an integrally cast silver boss, in place and in imitation of a gem setting. The ring is a bright gold in colour, with patches of the gilding having worn away to reveal the silver beneath. The object has two small nicks but is otherwise in good condition and complete. A cast copper-alloy Medieval single loop 'D'-shaped buckle, dating to c.AD 1200-1400.   Description: The D-shaped frame has steeply sloping surfaces and reaches its maximum width at the centre of the outer bar, with the axis bar being offset. The frame is undecorated and the pin is missing. Measurements: Length: 20.72 mm; Width: 13.7 mm; Thickness: 4.11 mm and Weight: 2.28 g. Discussion: This buckle is dated to the Medieval period due to the similarities in Whitehead (2003), No.54 and see also OXON-2D163D on this database.

A cast Medieval to early Post-Medieval copper-alloy single loop rectangular buckle frame, dating to c.AD 1400-1700. Description: The copper alloy frame has uniform dimensions on each side. All edges are slightly bevelled on the upper and lower faces. There is a slight notch on the shorter (bar). The frame has a mid-brown coloured patina. A complete cast Medieval copper alloy rotary key, dating to c.AD 1100-1500. Description: The key has a substantial circular bow which appears to be undecorated. There is no collar at the junction with the hollow stem, which is circular in cross section, The un-grooved bit lays in line with the bow. The sub-rectangular flat bit has a narrow cleft (10.65 mm) cut into it adjacent to the lower stem.
