An unidentified object which is a possible fragment from a lead vessel or pot of uncertain date. The fragment is irregular but broadly triangulat in shape and sub oval in plan. One surface is convex and the other slightly convex. It is slightly thicker at one end, with old and worn breaks on the non "rim" sides. The rim itself is thicker than the rest of the fragment suggesting that it comes from a curved vessel. An incomplete lead pin of uncertain date. The pin is oval in cross section and takes the form of a long narrowing point in plan. The widest section is slightly flattened on its terminal and it narrows to a slightly chisel like pointed terminal.  It is an off whilte colour with an irregular surface.  This object is 28.56mm long, (4.45mm wide at the flattened end), it is 1.634.2mm thick at the point and weighs 1.33 grams

A complete but very worn cast copper-alloy unidentified object, possibly a mount of fitting, of unknown date.  Description: The object is sub-rectangular in plan narrowing slightly towards one end, and is flat. One the reverse has an integral rivet at the centre of one end. It has a bend, causing a crack and the edges are very worn and uneven. It has mid green patina.  Measurements: length: 30.1mm, width: 9.6mm, thickness: 0.7mm (3.3mm from the pin), weight: 1.36g.

A complete cast, lead probable weight of unknown date.  The object is circular in plan, the upper surface is slightly convex, the reverse side is flat and it is D-shaped in cross section. There is pitting and scratches on the upper surface.  The object has a mid-grey patina. The diameter of the weight is 73.26mm, it is 16.01mm thick and it weighs 456 grams (1lb). Lead weights are difficult to date and the weight could date because they are found in contexts from the Roman to Post-Medieval period.

The artefact has a sub-rectangular cross section. It has a brown patina with patches of green copper corrosion and significant surface pitting. The overall shape and form resembles an Early Medieval strap end, but the artefact lacks a bifurcated end or another method of attachment, like rivets or suspension loops.

A cast copper alloy ring or handle of uncertain date. The object is made of a circular sectioned bar that is bent into a half circle in plan. Both terminals are marked by slightly ragged transverse breaks so that the original circuit is not possible to determine. The object is 57.7mm long, and has a diamater of c.6.8mm. it weighs 24.01 grams. This might have been a handle or dervie from a copper alloy ring.

Two (2) conjoined sheets of heavily leaded copper-alloy of uncertain date. The fragments are irregularly shaped with worn breaks to all edges. No identifying features are present. The metal has a mid-green patina with shiny grey patches and is in fair condition. The object is 54.1mm long, 41mm wide, 9.6mm thick and weighs 63.8g. Due to a lack of diagnostic features it is not possible to identify these fragments with confidence. It was found in the same area as a number of fragments of a statue of Roman date though is thinner in section that any currently known pieces of this object.…
