An incomplete cast copper-alloy fragment of an uncertain artefact of unknown date. The object is reminiscent of the foot of a bow brooch, with (if it is  a footplate) faceted with five panels and a central horizontal transverse ridge. Above is what appears to be the beginning of an arched bow of sub-triangular cross-section. Each panel, where surface remains, including the probable bow, displays ring and dot decoration. Cast concave on the reverse, with both sides 'ragged' and display old breaks with the base being semi-cl…

Object type: RING
Broad period: UNKNOWN
County: Isle of Anglesey
Workflow stage: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation
A silver finger ring. The ring is sub-oval, slightly squashed in form, and formed from a single thin sheet of silver. The ring has decoration in the form of two thin incisions along part of its face. There is no hallmark, and the rest of the ring is plain. The ring is difficult to date and while there have been a number of Roman finds within the vicinity, the ring does not appear to be of obvious Roman form. The ring could be much later, possibly medieval, post medieval or modern.

Unidentified copper-alloy object of unknown age. It is sub-circular, of fairly uniform thickness and slightly dished. It appears to be complete as there is no evidence of breaks. Close to one side there is a perfectly circular area, approximately one third of the total, which is flat. Beyond this it curves concavo-convexly in all directions all the way to the edge. On the generally convex face, the flat circle is covered with multiple very fine concentric and perfectly circular grooves and ridges. The outermost ridge is wider and expanded at one point to form a wide and short triangle…
