A lead complete possible Viking gaming piece. It is oval in cross-section, with a copper-alloy rod in the centre, it has a flat, mis-shapen base. It tapers towards its upper terminal end. A similar, solid, possible gaming piece has been found at Long Melford, Suffolk see SF-C01997, Little Wilbraham, Cambridgehsire see SF-50B784, and two hollow very simliar examples have also been found at Little Wilbraham, Cambridgeshire, see SF-6F5256 and SF-6F7361. An incomplete early medieval copper alloy Anglo Saxon shield on tongue pin for a single loop D or oval shaped buckle dating to c.AD 450-625. On the outer face, the shield of the pin is smooth, polished and undecorated. It is a waisted oval shape with a rounded semi-circular end then two rounded semi-circular cut-outs opposite each other which flare out below to form two rectangular lobes with a nick in each short projecting edge. A copper alloy pin dating to the Early Medieval period, (400-1066). The head of the pin is globular. The shaft is circular in cross-section and terminates with an ancient break. The head of the pin is decorated with two incised grooves crossing one another to form an X pattern. The pin has a medium green patina. The pin is 7.2mm in diameter at the head which is 7mm tall, the shaft is 2.3mm in diameter and the pin overall is 30.2mm long. it weighs 2.20 grams. A fragment of a copper-alloy Early Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) strap end of Thomas Class E, Type 1 dating to the period c. AD 1000 - 1100. It would have comprised of an open-work design, but all that remains is the attachment end. The attachment plate retains three entrally positioned rivet holes. An incomplete copper-alloy early medieval (late Anglo-Saxon) stirrup terminal. The object is an elongated, tubular shape, C-shaped in cross-section with an open concave reverse and zoomorphic moulding on the outer face and sides. The centre of the lower end of the outer face projects downwards culminating in a rounded point representing the snout of an animal. Copper alloy possible buckle fragment, as kindly suggested by the finder. A small cast loop with a markedly projecting lip in the zoomorphic form of a pointed beast head with prominent sub-triangular eyes or ears upstanding on top and with a grooved or hollowed underside; the putative strap bar is absent. The reddish tint of the metal is a feature often associated with Anglo-Scandinavian metalwork.
