A copper alloy Roman coin; a nummus of the House of Constantine (306 – 337), Constantinopolis (Victory on Prow) type (330 – 335). This type was commonly copied and most of the examples found in the UK are contemporary copies. This is one of the better attempts. The edge of the coin is very chipped and the mintmark and legends are missing, but otherwise the coin is in good condition. It has a diameter of 16mm and is 1.6mm thick. It weighs 1.5g.
