Copper alloy buckle. Cast sub-rectangular frame of rounded to lentoid section with a rounded slightly expanded and thinned outer edge and a strap bar set back from the frame. A cast and collared pin is looped round the strap bar; its mid-part is crazed and corroded. The frame bears extensive traces of a thick black coating resembling a stove enamel while the pin bears white metal plating. Copper alloy figurine. Pressed metal naturalistically rendered concavo-convex skull, of a narrow and elongated form possibly emphasised by light squashing. Traces of black coating appear on the dome of the skull, perhaps polished by wear against clothing. The memento mori was a motif which gained understandable currency in times of Plague, in the later 14th century as in the later 17th. Lead spindle whorl, as kindly identified by the finder. Cast biconical whorl with a central moulded aperture of diameter 10mm. Moulded decoration on one side comprises thirteen or fourteen rays, some converging with their neighbours to form the points of an irregular and incomplete star, and with [usually] a single pellet in each of the compartments so defined.
